Mainland's releases highlight different American origins, ages and strengths. These terms help explain what is in each bottle.
What Does Proof Mean?
In the United States, proof is twice the alcohol by volume (ABV). A 125-proof rum is 62.5% ABV. Check each bottle's label for its strength.
What Is a Single Barrel?
A single-barrel release comes from one individual barrel. Mainland's barrel releases have their own origin, age and proof; the still-strength Minnesota white rum is unaged.
Does Sherry Cask Mean Sherry Finished?
Not always. Mainland's Florida 7 Year and Florida 8 Year releases were matured in sherry casks for their full aging period. That differs from moving an already-aged spirit into another cask for a shorter finish.
